The Asian American Action Fund has endorsed U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa in the Democratic primary next year against U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz.

The Democratic political action committee had supported Hanabusa in a special election for Congress in 2010 where the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee sided with former congressman Ed Case.

This time, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, which helps elect Democrats to the Senate, is backing Schatz.

From Gautam Dutta, the AAA-Fund executive director:

2012 was a banner year for Asian American candidates and AAA-Fund believes we can make even more history by electing the second Asian American female to the U.S. Senate.

We believe Rep. Hanabusa’s distinguished and progressive record in the state Senate and in the U.S. House make her an outstanding candidate to succeed our dearly beloved Senator Inouye.

so AAA only supports ASIAN candidates...? sounds kind of embarrassing to be endorsed by them, cause of your ancestry.

  2. Especially Incognito:

What is embarrassing about being Asian? One can always
hold their breath and be without breath
but they still will look Asian.

"so AAA only supports ASIAN candidates...?"

Where does it say "only supports ASIAN candidates...?" ?

  3. Sayer:

Colleen will be a formidable candidate.
