The city has released the results of Oahu's neighborhood board elections.

The voting took place over the telephone and Internet from April 26 to May 17. The city put voter turnout at 8.61 percent, or 15,318 ballots cast.

Oahu has 33 neighborhood boards, which serve in an advisory capacity on public policy.

    Guess there's not much interest in who serves on the neighborhood boards.

    I think there isn't much interest because usually the same old people get in time after time, no matter who runs for the positions.

    So those who know nothing get it.
