U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz and U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa are scheduled to speak at a Democratic Party of Hawaii summer luau on Aug. 18 at Ward Warehouse.

The two candidates in the Democratic primary for Senate had opportunities to address Democrats at county conventions. The luau, however, will likely provide a better snapshot of how they fare before the same audience.

Gov. Neil Abercrombie is also expected to speak at the event, which will feature live music and a silent auction. The cost to attend is $50 in advance and $60 at the door.

    Germaine's has much better entertainment!

No kidding, unless Ward Warehouse sets up an Octagon and the two go no holds barred. My money would be on Hanabusa, easily 2-1.

I am curious why the Democratic Party is not also featuring Sen. David Ige, who is also running for Governor.

Seems one asks a question without
knowing the answer, yet seems to know
a lot of copy and paste.
    Plagiarism without the quotation marks?
