Four maritime unions have endorsed U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate.

The American Maritime Officers Union, the International Organization of Masters, Mates & Pilots, the Marine Engineers' Beneficial Association, and Seafarers International Union have backed the appointed senator, who is facing U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa in the primary.

From Michael Sacco, the president of the Seafarers International Union:

Senator Schatz has earned this endorsement because he is committed to standing up for working families and he is committed to our issues. I’m confident that Senator Schatz will continue Hawaii’s great tradition of leadership, and I know we’re all looking forward to working with him for many years to come.

If Hanabusa seriously supports repeal of the Jones Act, I'll vote for her instead.

Soon for many Gays,it is "maritime".

  3. Especially Incognito:

I read online in the news that a gay couple now
want to get divorced to get the same sex marriage
approved in their state. Doing so and maybe they
    cannot remarry.
