Democracy for America, the national progressive advocacy group, has endorsed U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate.

The DFA was founded by former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean.

"Senator Brian Schatz isn't just a reliable vote for progressives in Washington, D.C., he takes it a step further and organizes other senators to join him," Charles Chamberlain, the DFA's executive director, said in a statement. "Whether it's fighting on the front lines against climate change, defending a woman's right to choose, or expanding Social Security, Brian Schatz has proven he's a true progressive leader."

Schatz is facing U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa in the primary.

Progress is the opposite of Congress.

If Schatz can understand hand flailings from O'really,
than he has a good chance of winning.

  2. Manoa_Fisherman:

Just another out of state people telling us dumb folks in Hawaii who to vote for. Stick to Vermont, John Dean, don't tell us what to do. Must think they are missionaries sent to save us heathens from ourselves.
