Late-June fundraisers

State Sen. David Ige has a fundraiser for his gubernatorial bid set for Friday evening at his campaign headquarters on University Avenue.

The suggested contribution is $50 per person.

Ige (D, Pearl Harbor-Pearl City-Aiea) is challenging Gov. Neil Abercrombie in the August Democratic primary.

Meanwhile on Thursday, state Sen. Clayton Hee, running for the Democratic lieutenant governor nomination, held a fundraiser Thursday at a home in Kailua.

The suggested contribution was $500.

Hee (D, Heeia-Laie-Waialua) is challenging Lt. Gov. Shan Tsutsui in the August primary.

The first campaign spending reports for the primary elections are due to the Campaign Spending Commission by July 10.

    BJ, Schatz was appointed to the Senate seat, so he can't be re-elected. He is seeking election to the seat for the first time, just like his opponent.
