So how did state Rep. James Tokioka hold two fundraisers yet not raise any money for his re-election campaign?
The Kauai Democrat said Sunday that he would amend his most recent state campaign-finance report to reflect money raised at fundraisers at the Mandalay in March and in Kahala in June. He said he does not fill out his own reports and the person who completed the paperwork was out of town. "I don't know what happened," he explained.
Tokioka is being challenged by Dylan Hooser, the son of Kauai County Councilman Gary Hooser, in the Democratic primary.
