Blake Parsons is the new interim executive director of the Hawaii Republican Party.

Kayla Berube, the former executive director, left the post this month.

Berube was brought in from Massachusetts only last summer and did not survive the election cycle.

Pat Saiki, the state GOP chairwoman, said Berube left the post by "mutual agreement."

Just what they needed. A chair with the initials BP. Let's all join hands together, come on, all of us, Lefties, Right wingers, Independents, conspiracy theorists, UK, oil barons, and PRAY for no oil spill for Hawaii. Molasses spill, apparently, OK, no arrests, and a non-news story, of course. Fish ate all the sugah, all bettah now.

By any chance, did Berube leave while also stating, "how come there's only 15-20 Republicans here?"

    "I'm goin' back someday
    Come what may,"
    Said blue Berube . . .

I hope his resume includes some practical experience in Hawaii politics. Hiring a east coast kid with even limited political experience was a disaster for the Hawaii GOP in a year that had a target rich environment for GOP candidates. The Ghost of Linda Lingle continues to haunt the Hawaii GOP as her minions continue to wreck the party.
